Pencil Project is an open source application that lets you create diagrams or UI mockups. It will run on all major platforms.
Developers have learned how useful it is to plan or sketch ideas first, before implementing them. To this end, Pencil Project includes the Sketchy GUI collection, which provides just about everything you need to prototype your ideas. You can design entire interfaces using HTML texts, tabs, progress/scroll bars, message boxes, window frames, lists, fields and more.
Pencil Project is a vector app and can be easily customized sprite by sprite. You can also create your own collection of sprites by modifying or combining existing ones.
Pencil Project is available for Windows, Linux, MacOS X and PortableApps.com.
