DTube is a decentralized video streaming and hosting platform on the STEEM blockchain. Since it is based on blockchain, it inherits the quality of immutability, decentralization and resistance to censorship.
DTube is fully written in Javascript, and runs in most web browser. It allows you to upload and watch videos on top of the IPFS network. Moreover, it uses STEEM as a database and enables earning rewards from your uploads.
The primary objective of DTube is to provide a similar experience as YouTube, but with resistance to censorship. Any video uploaded on DTube becomes a STEEM content, that can earn rewards for 7 days.
